The Trump administration just delivered a gut shot to the Homosexual Lobby and their radical anti-Christian Agenda.
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) sided with baker Jack Phillips in the U.S. Supreme Court case, Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.
You see, Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, refused to bake a cake for a homosexual “wedding” and immediately faced legal action.
Mr. Phillips was sentenced to attend “sensitivity training” re-education class, threatened with fines and was forced to stop baking wedding cakes.
Unfortunately, cases like this are becoming a trend.
This sort of anti-Christian totalitarianism is exactly why Public Advocate filed a 48-page legal brief to the Supreme Court defending Mr. Phillips’ right to Religious Liberty.
And now the DOJ has joined Public Advocate in this fight by filing their own amicus brief.
The DOJ’s brief sided with Public Advocate’s argument that forcing Mr. Phillips to participate in the homosexual “wedding” violates his Religious Liberty and First Amendment rights.
The DOJ also argued that Colorado never offered, and could not reasonably offer, a sufficient justification for their decision.
In Public Advocate’s legal brief to the Supreme Court, we stated:
“The threat to the Christian cake maker in this case is nothing less than another effort in a nationwide LGBT-led, relentless campaign to use government power to coerce individuals and businesses to facilitate, participate in, and celebrate same-sex marriage.”
The Homosexual Lobby is using their government allies to force their radical agenda down Christians’ throats, whether they like it or not.
Already, some of the Homosexual Lobby’s biggest attack dogs, like the “Anti-Christian” Liberties Union (ACLU), are furious about the DOJ’s support and are gearing up to defend the radical Homosexual Agenda like never before...
... Because they know this case could set the tone for Religious Liberty in America forever!
As I mentioned before, these attacks -- like the one Mr. Phillips has faced -- are nothing more than a trend of violence towards Christians across the nation.
Other Christian bakers, like Aaron and Melissa Klein of Oregon, have faced the wrath of the Homosexual Lobby’s radical ways for refusing to bake a cake for a homosexual “wedding.”
In fact, the Kleins were penalized with a fine of $135,000 by bureaucrats in the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industry, and almost lost their home.
Every day I see cases like this.
And even with the DOJ’s support, it’s not going to be an easy fight.
The Homosexual Lobby has an endless war chest, and they will use every dirty trick to bury Religious Liberty.
So I hope you can see why this fight is so important; we are fighting for the very livelihood of Christian business owners everywhere.
And all of this could change if the Supreme Court rules in favor of Religious Liberty.
But you must do more than simply shake your head in disbelief!
I need you to join me in correcting this trend of attacks on Religious Liberty.
That’s why I need you to sign your “Protect Religious Liberty Directive” before it’s too late.
Allan, this historic case is approaching fast, and when it starts I want to swarm the U.S. Supreme Court with your directive, accompanied by thousands of signatures from other God-fearing Americans like you.
But to do this, I am going to need more than your signature...
... Because collecting and delivering thousands of directives won’t be cheap.
That’s why I need you to find it in your heart to chip in $10 or $25 to Public Advocate for this crucial fight.
Your generous financial support will allow me to show the Supreme Court the true strength of America’s pro-Family army.
And trust me, with my 36 years of experience fighting to protect Christian Values, I know the effect this has.
So don’t delay; please join me in the fight for Mr. Phillips’ right to Religious Liberty and sign your directive today.
Thank you for your continued support.
For the Family,
HON. EUGENE DELGAUDIO
President, Public Advocate of the U.S.
P.S. The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) sided with baker Jack Phillips in the U.S. Supreme Court case, Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission.
The DOJ has introduced their own brief siding with Public Advocate’s argument that forcing Mr. Phillips to participate in the homosexual “wedding” violates his Religious Liberty and First Amendment rights.
But even with the DOJ’s support, it’s not going to be an easy fight.
That’s why I need you to sign your “Protect Religious Liberty Directive” to the U.S. Supreme Court showing them the strength of the pro-Family American army.
